Blog

I thought I would start my first blog with a little about my family.  I often taken snaps of my children but don't really take time out of my busy life to take those special images that will go into albums, be sent to grandparents and will go on my walls.

Inspirations comes for all sorts of places at all sorts of times, but for this shoot the location and the bed formed a plan while I was on a run.  The bed was outstide someones house with a sign "take me" and thats what I did - well with my husband, Dale.  He did think it was a bit odd when I told him I wanted to take it down to the lake.

It was the end of summer, golden hour, so beautiful naturnal light and the lake was low.

I wanted the feeling of being free and enjoying the space.  At first the kids weren't so interested in sitting on the bed posing, so that when we changed it up a little and a mud fight started between the kids and Dale.  Thats when the the shoot really started.

The second part of the shoot with the dogs, was an early morning shoot (well early for me anyway).  There is a little story that goes with this that requires a little bit of honesty......I'm one of those Mum's that takes her kids to school with my PJ's under my Trackies.  That morning I was feeling a little moody so when I got home I decided the morning was too beautiful to be wasted, so I grabbed my camera and my hairy children, the dogs, and off to lake we went (still in my PJ's - thankfully no one I knew saw me).  Went home very happy :-) as did they.
