This photoshoot was taken at the family home in early Autumn.  I’m always nervous before a photoshoot, will the clothing work, how is the light, what is my background, but I’m never really nervous about the kids.  I haven’t had a session yet when I haven’t been able to work with the children.  For me my first task it to create a connection with them, so that they relax and I can direct them while still having some fun. Mike and Rhoda feel in love with New Zealand while on holiday and like many that now live in Wanaka, decided to move here.I had the privilege of photographing them with their extended family who were visiting from the States.
